Motorbike Scam Sale in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On January 12, 2021, at 2:20 pm, a man sold a motorbike, but after getting the money, he didn't give the motorbike to the buyer and tried to run away. He got caught and returned to the police on street 192, Sangkat Teuk Laok 3, Khan Toul Kok, Phnom Penh. The suspect was identified as Khoeun Chamnan, 31 years old, from Kampong Thom.

The source said before the incident, the suspect took a Honda Dream motorbike to put at the pawnshop and agreed to sell it after getting an offer for 820 USD from the buyer. However, after getting the money, the suspect didn't give the motorbike to the buyer, but drove off with the motorbike to escape.

The victim caught up with the suspect and sent him to the police. He was put in the motorbike cart and sent to the police station. Lieutenant Phat Saran, the police chief, said the suspect was detained for questioning and case preparation.
