Oh FFS, get over these generalisations about Kampot. There are all sorts of people living in Kampot.
All foreigners living in Phuket, Thailand, are not sexpats or junkies, right ? So why would every single expat living in Kampot be a cheap charlie rasta ? Lots of good people living in Kampot, so maybe check it out when you get a visa to visit.
If you haven't been there this year then you may be surprised. Things change, y'know.

Yep it's changed over the last couple of years with the shitsville refugees and girlie bars, weather that's an improvement or not it's up to you but it has changedAnchor Moy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 9:07 pmOh FFS, get over these generalisations about Kampot. i would go every 4-5 days when i was in Kep for a meal, (eating on the docked boats), visit the local market or buy some baked goods. Not much was available in Kep than..
always liked it, there were lots of older guys smoking dope and rasta looking young guys, Which i have zero problems with
Of course i have not been since Sept 2018

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Yes, of course Kampot has changed, but everything changes, and in Cambodia, things can change very fast in little time. Not saying that I like Kampot better now, and 10 years ago I much prefered Sihanoukville anyway. I lived in the boonies for a while as well but got tired of it.atst wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 9:26 pmYep it's changed over the last couple of years with the shitsville refugees and girlie bars, weather that's an improvement or not it's up to you but it has changedAnchor Moy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 9:07 pmOh FFS, get over these generalisations about Kampot. Also, I am getting tired of these lazy stereotypes of expats by other expats - Kampot are the unwashed, Koh Rong are the never washed, SHV are shirtless sexpats gone AWOL, Kep are rich hermits... etc.
No ! We are all individuals. (Damn, there is no pineapple emoji.)
