PSD-Kiwi wrote: Wed Apr 07, 2021 5:18 pm For those who are travelling to a country with short timing restrictions in regards to the PCR test, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge can conduct testing on site with same day results.

This is not available for everyone - only for those who require faster turn around of results due to PCR test requirements of their final destination.

You MUST make an appointment via email, and you are required to attach your flight tickets and a copy of your passport bio-page.

Costs 75$ including certificate.

Thank you for your email. We have well noted your appointment on Saturday 24 April 2021 from 7h30am to 9am.

Thank you to read carefully the email below:

If you didn’t already send us in your previous mail, thank you to send BEFORE your appointment all the information we need:
• The list of all the patients with : Last name, First name, Date of Birth, Sex, Nationality
• The complete Lab request form of Ministry of Health (Patient’s information part) (see attached) for each patient: don’t forget to mention how many times you have already been tested for COVID-19.
• Copy (picture etc…) of your Passport

You can find attached the process for your appointment, thank you to read it.

I allow myself to insist: the day of your appointment, please wear a mask and call the secretary (012 812 003) when you arrive at IPC. A secretary will come to pick you up and bring you to the sampling room. Indeed, in order to always minimize the possible risk of contamination, we prefer that patients who come for COVID screening don’t cross the other patients of the Laboratory.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.

Best regards,
Afiny

Just incase you want to find out if you’ve already had covid and already got antibodies, they also do the antibody test

Hi, thanks, that's interesting about the antibody test. I wasn't aware that's an option.

So it's possible to be negative for Covid but you have the antibody? In this case you would be allowed to fly?
yeah the antibody test doesnt mean you currently have covid it just means youve got antibodies in your system which means at some point in the past youve had covid, it doesnt effect flight
Ok, that's interesting to know. If you already had antibodies that would suggest less need for a vaccine. Although supposedly the antibodies wear off after a while.

yeah they will wear off eventually, but it does mean you are less at risk if you got them ;-)

Short answer (for now), is yes.
Missus made it out before it slammed shut.

Previously no transiting through Taiwan.
But now with restrictions. (See link).

The only international transit airport in Taiwan is ‘Taoyuan’ (formerly Chang Kai Shek).

Good luck, please be safe out there.

Report back that I went here and it was OK, but it's a bit of a Covid risk in and of itself.

We arrived at 11:30 but they refused to take us as the reception team had already left for lunch. FYI they don't exactly follow the hours they advertise.

Surely you must understand how things work in Cambodia by now...Why would you arrive at 1130 and expect to get tested when they state they close at 1200 for lunch?

And if anyone needs an authorisation letter to travel to a PCR testing facility, get your Sangkat to fill in the blanks...

This may be useful for those flying to countries which require a Rapid test conducted in a short time frame prior to departure/or arrival...
