Cambodia News (Kandal): According to a farmer who lives in Sre Ambel village, Kean Svay district, Kandal, he has a banana farm behind his house, but his bananas were being stolen every day. On December 18, 2020, the banana owner guarded his farm and saw the suspects who were stealing his bananas. At 9:20 pm, a suspect was caught with a cart and bananas. Another suspect ran away to escape.

The captured suspect was identified as Tha Reaksmey, a 20-year-old man from Battambang. The farm owner, Choun Pov, 42 years old, said while he was guarding his bananas, he saw two men putting his bananas in a cart. So, the farmer called the police to help to catch the two thieves, and they went to the scene and arrested one suspect, while the other man ran away.
The suspect with the evidence was sent to the police station for questioning, and he confessed that he and his teammate stole bananas from the village plantations. After questioning, the suspect's case was prepared following the legal procedure.
