Nominations Open for "Cambodia's Model Citizen" and $10K Prize

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Great initiative from Smart! It will be such a nice change from the usual meat cleaver attacks and chinese shenanigans.

A Dose of Cath might be modern and forward looking to members of CEO, but she’s like the lotion ladies on Facebook. One day, Bun Rany will decide she is affront to Khmer culture and that will be the end.

At least that’s my prediction.

Continue with the voting, ladies and gentlemen.

What is the gender makeup of CEO, out of interest? I'm getting the impression it's a bit of a sausage fest.

It’s my lad!

He’s been a pillar of strength, throughout. While occasional human emotions have shown through, he’s been a positive influence, all ‘round.
Full of energy, he brings people together. He’s a unifying force.

Hand over the cheque, I’ll take care of it for him.

She's been around for years. She was making videos back in 2013 or something. I don't think she'd warrant a nomination for citizen 2020 as she's pretty much yesterday's news at this point. Her message was slightly novel back then by Cambodian standards, but I don't think her Excellency would give a shit unless she starts telling her viewers to use 12" anal plugs or something. Most of what she says really isn't that risqué in any way: don't be ashamed of not being a virgin, etc. Even conservative women weren't exactly lashing out against her when she started out.
