Porky has been a count for years now, this isn't a new thing (if it's the guy I'm thinking of).

This does not look good for the "Duke", whatever his explanations.
Through this video and the title, the public has a lot of sympathy for Ms. Det Malina and express strong criticism of the image of Duke Duong Chhay for the use of violence.

Please note that this case is also known to Samdech Techo HE, Prime Minister of Cambodia. Through Samdech's personal Facebook page, Samdech commented on the video, "Why is Duong Chhay so cruel?"

They aren't related, it's just normal Cambodian honorifics. I reckon he will get charged. He's been jailed and warned enough times.

I heard he got his Okhna title removed.

That was funny when people were praising him (joking) because he did a better job than Health Ministry by being able to keep 2 Millions people people at home for 2 hours, thanks to his live on facebook haha

PM wants businessman’s royal title revoked over wife assault
Buth Reaksmey Kongkea / Khmer Times

The acting head of state, Say Chhum, has written an official letter to King Norodom Sihamoni to strip the royal title “Oknha” bestowed on businessman Duong Chhay for assaulting his wife at the time.

Chhum wrote the letter upon Prime Minister HE’s request on Tuesday after several video clips of the assaults were posted on social media by the ex-wife and evoked outrage among netizens who posted comments voicing their criticisms.

In the letter to King Sihamoni, Chhum wrote that he is writing the letter to inform that Mr HE had requested on Tuesday that the royal title “Oknha” bestowed on Duong Chhay be stripped.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Women’s Affairs’ Information Department director, Pen Kunthear told Khmer Times yesterday that the ministry had intervened in the case after the victim contacted and sought its help.

She said the ministry’s legal department together with other relevant authorities are working with the victim on the legal procedures.

“According to the ministry’s policy, all acts of violence against women, no matter what form, are unacceptable. And those who commit violence against women must be held accountable before the law. We cannot tolerate,” Kunthear said.

She said domestic problems should be resolved in a non-violent manner via negotiations or mediation and not through violence.
