Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): A suspect,who broke into a villager's house, was badly beaten before the police arrived just in time to save him. On December 2, 2020, a villager, Mean Chanthol, a 43-year-old man, reported to the police that people caught a burglar who broke into a house of a woman, named Prak Thong, 60 years old, in Banteay Meanreth village, Thmor Pok district, Banteay Meanchey.

After receiving the information, the police went to the scene and saw a suspect, Play Soplar, 30 years old, getting beaten by the local people. The police stopped the violence and sent the suspect to the police station for questioning.

The suspect confessed that he stole money from the victim. The police confiscated the evidence, such as money for 4,440 baht and 150,000 riels. That money was returned to the victim.

The suspect was sent to the hospital for treatment and sent to the police station for case preparation following the legal procedure.
