What is the punishment for being in possession for small amount of drugs such as this in Cambodia? seems like a waste of police time.

People that claim to be for liberty say small amounts of anything for personal use should be tolerated, not prosecuted, and not persecuted. With that garbage methamphetamine though, is there any small amount that should be OK? Something that hooks you in from the first try and has a tolerance in the body, therefore making larger amounts necessary to chase that dragon, then makes you antisocially crazy shouldn't be tolerated one bit. 6 months to 1 year ought to do it, 3 years is not necessary. Or have I just tolerated it?

Reeducation at the police station should be enough if it was only for his own use, it's a very popular drug maybe he liked to try.
But having a pipe for smoking suggest hes been using more than once.
I'd question the addiction to the drug on the occasional user eg once a month or two

How about nicotine slaves? Why does society continue to tolerate them?

They seem harmless enough, but that's because their drug supply is readily available.

LOL you both make good points. The nicotine addicts only harm themselves and their loved ones, now that smokers are asked to go outside to smoke that crap. Alcohol is definitely a factor in all kinds of crimes, violent and non-violent, and various countries didn't tolerate it for a while, unsuccessfully. It's easy to make yourself with items that can't be controlled. You need easily controllable precursor chemicals to make that garbage methamphetamine.

The difference between legal “drugs” (cigarettes and alcohol) is it rarely leads to crime from the average user, unlike drugs.

Legalize all I say.
