I thought Whitlow had no current passport. ??
if so, how could he be let free?

If that was the smile mart on the junction of northbridge and 2004, i actually told the staff he had been arrested and they should contact the police. The guy in the shop just said they dont do anything about the people in the pictures, they put them up in the hope that the people dont return.
Can someone please explain to me the nature of these "wanted pictures"? Does the mart catch them for shoplifting or something? How do they get a photo of the offender? Thanks

I believe he was arrested with a stolen passport - something like Stuart Bucknell (sp?)

I also want to understand how something like this can happen. I thought it is almost impossible for foreigners to be released on bail, let alone in the absence of a passport which the court can hold to ensure the defendant will not abscond.

This isn't even the first time he has been lifted.

Whitlow was in immigration slammer well over a year ago and slid out back then, too.
