Mysterious alien like monolith found in US desert
They were on a mission to count sheep when they found something they had not counted on.
As a Utah helicopter crew buzzed over the southeastern part of the state looking for big horn sheep last week, sitting beneath them in the middle of the desert was a bright shiny monolith, the stuff of sci-fi sagas.

Pilot Bret Hutchings of the state Department of Public Safety recalled someone on board spotting the gleaming metal object firmly implanted in a small clearing set against the redness of the rocks and sand below. "He's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, turn around, turn around," Hutchings told KSL-TV in Salt Lake City. "There's this thing, there's this thing back there. We've got to go look at it."
After Hutchings set their helicopter down in the remote area, which remains undisclosed to discourage a rush of gawkers, they got a closer look, but found "no obvious indication" of how it got there, the public safety department said.

Not read the article but it was stated it’s some kind of “art”.

The memes online about this are hilarious, my favorite, considering this is 2020 is the Cabin in the Woods one regarding the horrors of 2020:
Ok, who had Alien Monolith in the Utah desert for November?

It's nothing too fancy: three pieces of aluminum held together by simple hardware rivets. But it's still a mystery all the same.
"Visiting the shiny, space-aged monolith dispelled some of the more outlandish theories about the sculpture. It was a very terrestrial sculpture being held together by simple hardware rivets."

Damn, we could've started a conspiracy theory that it was an alien portal aka Stargate and that Covid19 didn't in fact come from Wuhan but from Utah from which the aliens set this virus on humanity as a precursor for their eventual invasion.techietraveller84 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 7:58 am It's nothing too fancy: three pieces of aluminum held together by simple hardware rivets. "The 33-year-old former US army officer drove 6 hours, over-night after being captivated by the mystery online."
