Man Arrested for Rape of 17Yo Domestic Employee in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A man was arrested by Dangkor district police after he raped his own employee at 10E0, Street 2C, Borey Piphop Thmey, Sangkat Dangkor, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh.

The victim was 17 years old, a housemaid, and the suspect was named Chhom Chanvichet, 33 years old, a trader, living at 10E0, Street 2C, New World Borey.
At 00:50 on November 24, 2020, the victim was sleeping on the ground floor alone when the suspect, the owner of the house, came from outside and unlocked the front door and entered the house.

The suspect went over to where the housemaid was sleeping and raped her. The victim said that she did not move or shout for help because she was afraid the suspect would kill her. After the suspect raped her, he went upstairs to sleep with his wife as usual.

The victim then opened the door, ran out of the house, called her brother and filed a complaint at the Dangkor Administrative Police Station for the authorities to intervene. Colonel Chim Sitha, police inspector of Dangkor district, ordered the force to arrest the suspect and bring him in for questioning at 4:40 am on the same day. During the raid, the police also seized a white 2019 FORD RANGER with license plate Phnom Penh 2BC-5652 at dawn on November 24, 2020.

The suspect confessed to the authorities that he had indeed raped his employee. The man is being held at the Dangkor police station to build the case against him before it procedes to court.

Just imagine how much abuse like this is never reported because the victims are too scared to complain? Some really nasty fuckers out there who just do anything they like and nobody can touch them.

Bravo to the police for acting fast....
Just​wondering why can't he just have sex with the wife? Crazy bastard...
Not​ sure what sentence would be given or will it be any case of money solve problem outcome?

My question exactly. Seems vehicles always get taken, no matter the crime. Guess that is why so many lowly-paid cops drive cars....
