Fire Breaks Out in Dump Shantytown, Phnom Penh
Cambodia Breaking News,(Phnom Penh): At more than 12 noon on November 17,2020, in Sangkat Boeung Tumpun 1, Khan Meanchey, a fire is burning in a group of wooden houses, tents and tin shacks, built on a garbage site where locals live and recycle waste.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but the authorities have intervened and called the fire truck to put out the fire. No one appears to have been hurt, and local people have tried to save what they could.

Phnom Penh: A fire broke out at Lot No. 2 along Road Group 2, Sansom Kosal Village, Sangkat Boeung Tumpun I, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh at 12:15 noon on Tuesday, November 17. 2020.
The fire was extinguished in about an hour by six fire trucks who came to the scene. Sources say that five homes were burnt down in the blaze which started when children were playing with burning tires close to the huts. The owner of the location is Chhay Hok, a 52-year-old Cambodian man who sells scrap metal.
