Journalists Intrigued by Hush-Hush Death on Street 111
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Khmer news outlets have reported what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding a man's death on November 14, 2020, at the point of house 10, street 111, Sangkat Boeung Prolit, Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh.
A man died of an unknown cause in a room on the fourth floor at the above address; police and the owner of the house seemed to have something to hide from the reporter and immediately removed the body. The body of the victim was not identified, male, about 30 years old.
Sources say that an ambulance was seen arriving at the scene and removing a dead body from the upper floor of the house. Meanwhile, reporters were wondering about the presence of Boeung Prolit Police Station Chief and Deputy Inspector at the scene and why no interviews with the press or photographs were permitted.
People are still wondering why the man died, why journalists were not allowed to film and publish, and why the Boeung Prolit police is concealing all information? They called an ambulance to take the body of the victim, and quickly transported it from the scene, as if they are hiding something. The police refused to answer any questions from journalists.
The press is now waiting for the authorities to clarify the situation.
