Why are serial banned posters allowed back on the forum?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

He did some good detective work, no doubt about that. However at times I think he crossed the line, digging around peoples personal lives & history (alive or dead) to an extent that it was borderline stalkerish behaviour. It always left me feeing a bit uneasy.

Hypocritical narcissist with a mean streak.
Probably brought up by a single parent or by a father in the military/police.

Gavin is a fantastic contributor who adds lots of relevant information to topics, particularly those threads with expats behaving badly who originate from Florida. He should be closer to being made a moderator than being banned.

Where is the post that he made that was hurtful? Must have been pretty heinous to get the reaction it is.

I also find it funny that at least one of the pitchfork bearers against GM have/had more sock accounts than most posters I see here or on 440, and frequently found those accounts banned because of repetitive trolling/pettiness and plain dull spam/copypasta.

GM is entertaining, even when he's picking at something, because it's always in character. It basically is the nature of his online persona to pick away at things and seize upon inconsistencies.

Use the block function for people who annoy the shit of you. Works well for me.

It takes a certain amount of courage to post what think and how you feel about stuff, and wear that record forever more.
Socks are cowards in my book.

but thats just imo.

ps, if CEO ever introduces that sock's wet dream, the Guest facility - i'm out.
A recent short stint over at TOF turned me off for life. Too many cheap-shot gutless socks posing as "guests".

I wonder if another alternative, instead of just banning such a person and their various alter-egos, would be to combine the identities under the original or most well known pseudonym?
The efforts at work around and avoidance might become more a waste of their energy and time as a result, while keeping the more informative contributions coming.
