11 Yo Boy Killed in Rice Harvester Machine Accident

Cambodia News (Takeo): On November 12, 2020, an 11-year-old boy, Oum Ratanak, died after getting hit by a rice harvester at a rice field in Trang Kok district, Takeo. The river harvester driver was identified as Mom Thol, a 28-year-old man.

Before the incident, a 40-year-old man, a farmer named Bol Veth, rented a rice harvester machine to harvest his rice. The boy, who lives about 150 meters away from the rice field, came to ride on the harvester for fun.
Tragically, the boy slipped off the machine while it was in operation, unseen by the driver , who drove backwards and ran over the boy.

After the incident, the police went to the scene to examine the accident scene. After the examination, the body was returned to the family for funeral preparation. RIP.
