Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: A man, suspected of being heartbroken because his wife ran away, climbed up to the top of a tree ready to jump to his death, causing a surprise to the local police force to intervene immediately at 8 am on November 12, 2020 in the circle of Wat Phnom, Daun Penh.

Before the incident, the unidentified man was seen walking into the Wat Phnom area, (no one knew that he had a crisis), and then suddenly locals saw him climbing a ladder to the top of a tree, planning to jump to his death, but he was comforted by people on the ground who supported him and told him not to give up hope.

However, the man refused to go down and shouted from the top of the tree, saying that he was upset because his wife had ran away and left him, so he was going to jump off and kill himself.
However, the people on the ground contacted the local police to intervene to find a way to bring the man down from the top of the tree safe and sound.
