Re: All PP schools closed again (and Reopen)
No im not over 50.
As well as not having contact with any over 50s as the mandate says, which is a joke, are all schools going to ban parents over 50 and grandparents from picking up kids on school grounds? Are they going to get rid of a high percentage of principals due age both western and khmer? I doubt it. Are school owners over 50 going to be allowed on their schools premises? Of course they are.. Wait and see what actually happens, as a lot of what is said and done here varies widely.

Maybe that’s why the competent authorities are spraying everywhere.
As for on-line learning in the village.
Older sister’s kids have been doing it. Turning the cell phone into an internet hotspot and then streaming it to the laptop and iPad. Of course this is reinforced by daily homework time. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

Is this really true that foreigners over 50 will be banned from live teaching? I’m planning to move to Cambodia to teach as soon as they start reissuing visas and this would majorly f*ck up my plans because I turn 50 in January
Re: All PP schools closed again (and Reopen)
No, it isn't true - yet. As of now, as far as I can tell, one person has somehow come across what appears to be an official draft of new legislation that, although written in Khmer, obviously, appears to indicate that teachers over 50 will be prevented from teaching in live physical classrooms. This person then posted the draft on Facebook. It does appear to be legitimate and I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to post a fake government document online for a joke, but I'm not sure if they detailed how exactly they managed to get hold of it.
It seems like a strange piece of legislation to me and if it were to pass, I think Cambodia would be the only country in the world to have such a rule. On the surface, it seems unworkable and throws up a lot of "But what about..' scenarios.
I can only imagine it's related to covid and perhaps they think they are protecting the over 50s?
It's still early doors on this one. I wouldn't cancel your plans just yet but I'd certainly keep an eye on things if I were you.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that the danger of contracting COVID-19 from surface transmission is low.
An update released April 5 showed that the risk of surface, or fomite, transmission of the disease is low compared with direct contact, droplet transmission, or airborne transmission.

Dr. Memo, what does low mean? If the risk of HIV or STD transmission from fucking a bar girl is low will you refuse to use a condom. You have continually downplayed fomite transmission in your posts but do you have the scientific knowledge to dismiss the risk or are you one of those internet searchers pretending to be knowledgeable (it is easy to see you just cut and paste from the internet). Like the other pretend doctors on CEO you have your own "opinions" but fomite transmission is certainly possible although not the main method of transmission. I have seen a family member die from COVID. It is not a good way to die. Be safe and not only get vaccinated and were a mask but wash your hands and do not put your hands in your mouth or on your face. Peace!nemo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 9:16 am The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that the danger of contracting COVID-19 from surface transmission is low.

Perhaps read the article from the CDC?Dr. Memo, what does low mean?
It is called citation. That is what sets fact apart from opinion. Would you like to provide one?You have continually downplayed fomite transmission in your posts but do you have the scientific knowledge to dismiss the risk or are you one of those internet searchers pretending to be knowledgeable (it is easy to see you just cut and paste from the internet). You could start by citing my
".continually downplayed fomite transmission"
To my knowledge, I have only mentioned this subject in this thread as a rebuttal to a misleading webmd citation.

Isn't this just all about risk management? Frantically trying not to catch the virus by taking Xtreme measures will make life pretty difficult and more and more scientists are convinced eventually the virus will catch all of us.cambo swa wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 9:50 amDr. Memo, what does low mean? Every time we drive a car we run the risk of being involved in an accident, but that didn't make us stop driving it.....
