This is an announcement of intent, but reopening schools has been announced previously and was postponed. Stay tuned.

Secondary schools set to reopen
Son Minea / Khmer Times
The Education Ministry will be ready to reopen secondary schools nationwide starting in either September or October, after having been closed for several months to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Education Ministry spokesman Ros Soveacha told Khmer Times yesterday that the ministry will start by reopening secondary schools for the 2021-2022 academic year.
He said the ministry is acting in line with what Prime Minister HE said on Sunday that the Covid-19 vaccination drive for children between the ages of 12 and 17 is a step towards preparing to reopen schools.

Re: All PP schools closed again (and Reopen)
Hope this comes true.
Currently the missus’ primary school is being used as a virus treatment center and the secondary school is being used as a quarantine center.
All kids confined to on-line learning.
Hope both the primary and secondary schools are thoroughly scrubbed down before letting the kids back.
Would be a shame for large number of kids to get the virus left over from those infected.
Please stay safe out there!

Prime Minister HE pushed for rural schools in areas with little Covid-19 to be reopened even ahead of ending nationwide school closures.
In a speech posted online on Tuesday morning, HE said the education minister should discuss with provincial governors to find areas where it would be safe to reopen schools.
“Having seen that there are rural schools that have had no infections, we have the capability to open those schools without waiting for the nationwide reopening of schools, or [even] the whole province or district,” HE said. “We should select the villages or communes that have no infections, and our children can go to study while maintaining social distancing and following the Health Ministry’s measures.”
The bulk of Covid-19 transmission had been in urban areas, HE said, adding that rural students were also at a greater disadvantage when it came to online classes.

Online classes in state schools?
Where does he get his information from?

50 and up can't be teachers anymore
A lot of empty seats soon to becoming to a bar near you!

Re: All PP schools closed again (and Reopen)
You're right, it says they can't teach in person. I doubt many schools will keep rolling with online classes and have specific teachers for online classes after restrictions are lifted.
Are you a 50+ year old teacher by chance?

It is not transmitted by surface contact.Hope both the primary and secondary schools are thoroughly scrubbed down before letting the kids back.

It also says that students should avoid any contact with people over 50. As in parents, grandparents etc. Lets see how that works out. Fucking ridiculous.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
