Woman on the Phone Smashes into a Pass-App Tuktuk and Destroys Noodle Shop

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On November 3, 2020, at 11:40 pm, a woman driving a Prius car smashed a PassApp Tuk-Tuk vehicle into a noodle shop on street 217, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh.

A witness at the scene said that they saw a tuk-tuk, plate PP1GW-6741, was driving along on street 217 at medium speed when a woman driving a Prius car, plate PP2AV-8202, smashed into the tuk-tuk, pushing it into a roadside noodle shop, and injuring the tuk-tuk driver.
The accident victim was sent to the hospital, and the woman car driver accepted that she caused the accident, because she was talking on her phone while she was driving and she didn't see the tuktuk.

After the incident, the police took both vehicles to the police station, waiting to sort the problem out later.

It annoys the fuck out of me. I'm trying to get safely from point A to B and then in any given stretch of road there is always at least one moron who you can spot by their meandering driving and random slow downs and stops because they are fucking around with their phones. The other one that really pisses me off is the type whose idea of parking is to drive along the middle of the lane and then just stop wherever suits them. No pulling in or maybe even parking in the empty space next door. To get a coffee, drop their granny off, or whatever - don't worry about the 300 yard block up you're causing you selfish twat. Rant over.

One Friday night 6pm, near Psar Kandal, roads choked.
A huuuge new Chinese SUV, whiter than white, very slowly but steadily comes out of side street. I am in the way on my Wave. firmly stuck in the traffic.

If there was a hint of anger or malice i would have understood. Or if she was on the phone.
But what pissed me off was the glam trophy wife behind the wheel simply did not care one tiny little fuck if she ran over me or not. Her vacuous face staring straight at mine as she just kept on rolling.

A bunch of us scramble and dragged ourselves out of the way - just, by nano-seconds.
But no Khmer stoic silence this time - grim resentful mutterings all 'round.

That's the kinda stuff that makes all the KR killings more understandable.
It's the attitude , not the phone.
