Prince KTV Permanently Closed

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Prince KTV Permanently Closed

Post by Sambodia »

I've just heard the tragic news that Prince KTV on Monivong Blvd is closed permanently due to COVID. This was my favorite KTV for awhile and I'm devastated by the news. I've always wanted to be a professional singer, but had trouble finding the right audience to appreciate my art form until I discovered this place. Also I'm not sure how my Khmer KTV girl will manage on just her allowance and not the supplemental income from her singing talents (she stopped going with customers since we met). Can anyone confirm or deny its closure? Are there any other PP culturally significant landmarks that have been permanently closed due to CV?

I surmise that many will not be as familiar with the in's and out's of the KTV scene in PP and prefer the bars on 136, etc. but after years of being disappointed w/ PP nightlife I fell in love with the KTVs a few years ago and never looked back.

Do you have any suggestions? Perhaps I can come sing for you and you can point me in the right direction. Now that Prince is closed I’m available most nights and for just a small fee
