Left/Right ? "The Madness of Crowds" is now out in paperback. Written by Douglas Murray, a mild Conservative or a racist Facist depending on your left/right biased leanings. It is well researched and well worth a look.

Liberals will always come out ahead in the US.
The colleges and universities where the reporters and media are trained, are overwhelmingly liberal.
The vast majority of government employees are liberal and union.
Government regulation is the holy grail of liberal control.
Drown the opposition in so many rules that the target will always be guilty of breaking some regulation somewhere.
WIN WIN. (Until the money’s all gone)

Indeed, looks like you think it's worth saying and promoting again and again. and again (why not?)well worth a look.
I have a good memory and thought that tuv1 had posted something similar before, so I did quick search, and lo and behold, it's the fifth time that tuv1 promotes the same writer.
( Take my word for it people, and you don't have to click on all the links.)

I don't want to shut down anyone's free speech, but some people post like they are shouting into a bunch of deaf guys. It's ok, we heard you the first time.

Another story today about Hunter Biden & a Chinese Billionaire;
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/20 ... -pay-10-m/
No idea if true or not but it does seem to be that blocking the tweets has caused more publicity than it would have if they just left it.
Many newspapers in UK running the story about twitter/facebook today/yesterday too, before they hadn't touched the Ukraine story
Links below(with the spins you would expect from each of them)
Spectator: https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/hun ... ation-coup
Mirror: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/ ... r-22853838
Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... nter-biden
(tbf the guardian did also have stories back in 2019)
The Sun: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/12928283/ ... gun-video/
(smoking crack in this one too)

Re: Which is the bigger story? Hunter Biden emails or Twitter censorship?
Da General said “Section 230 is very important for these tech giants, but they have been totally taking the piss, so something will have to give, but probably later than sooner. I don't get how they can clearly target the Right and still keep that protection. Twitter was eager to promote the article about Trump's stolen tax returns, but are now saying they can't allow this story, which wasn't even 'hacked.'”
This has been repeatedly debunked.
“For further reading, Techdirt wrote an analysis debunking claims that Google discriminated against conservative sites. The claim that social-media sites discriminate against conservatives has been called a "myth" by the Columbia Journalism Review. Even the conservative American Enterprise Institute has repeatedly cast doubt on claims of social-media bias against conservatives.”
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/202 ... fccs-time/
“Yet another analysis debunking the notion that social media suppresses conservative speech”. “Over the last month on Facebook, Trump has captured 91% of the total interactions on content posted by the US presidential candidates, according to CrowdTangle. Biden has captured only 9%. … Over the last month, the top performing news organization in the US was Fox News, a conservative network which largely echoes the Trump White House’s messaging”.

https://www.theverge.com/interface/2019 ... k-ted-cruz
https://www.cjr.org/the_media_today/platform-bias.php
And, the latest from Ajit Pai, head of the FCC, on section 230
“Ajit Pai says he’ll help Trump impose crackdown on Twitter and Facebook
As Trump requested, Pai proposes to limit social media websites' legal immunity.”
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/202 ... -facebook/
That is going to be interesting since there is no provision in 230 for the FCC to “clarify”it.
And remember kids:

It’s actually the Left that is discriminated against, at least as far as Facebook is concerned.
“When Facebook tweaked its newsfeed algorithm in 2017 to reduce the visibility of political news, the company’s engineers intentionally designed the system to disproportionately impact left-leaning outlets, effectively choking off their traffic in the process.”

Re: Which is the bigger story? Hunter Biden emails or Twitter censorship?
That’s like saying North Korea and PRC China are the most democratic governments in the world. Why? Because they are People’s Democracy.
The majority of Twitters engineers are absolutely leftist. With that view anything not hard left has got to be alt right, or neo right, or just loathsome conservative. So at best, they can write an engine that tamps down on hard left views (the ones they agree with most), not necessarily that has an unbiased view.
Look at the tech companies. 99% contribute to Democrats. I believe in 1 company it’s only 90% contribute to the left.
Oh the horror!
I’ll put back on my tinfoil hat, now.
