Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: On October 7, 2020, it was reported on social media that on October 2, 2020 at 6:40 pm, there was a case of a group of ten people dressed as civilians who conducted a "citizens' arrest" on a tuktuk driver, resulting in a swollen face for the victim and detention in handcuffs, which happened in Sangkat Boeung Salang, Khan Toul Kork.

The passapp tuktuk driver was allegedly beaten and handcuffed by about 10 people in no uniform, and then he was later released, saying it was a "mistake."

A Facebook account named "Chan Sopheap" posted this content: On October 2, 2020 at around 7:30 at night around Boeung Salang, my brother was waiting for a guest with his Pass App tuktuk, when about 10 people in uniform came to beat him up without asking anything, and they arrested him and put on handcuffs. Then they asked for a urine test (for drugs), and since the result was okay, thirty minutes later, he was released, saying he was "confused."

The same Facebook page continued, "Please, do not hit people who are working at night with no reason." "Do not go around beating up the working people without thinking about it, ask your questions first before you punish."
