I haven't watched the movie, so I cannot comment on whether it should be banned.
Texas though, and the US as a whole, should definitely ban all of those disturbing beauty pageants for children and young adolescents they currently have. If that doesn't constitute objectifying children, I don't know what does!

I have watched it a few weeks ago and have to admit that although I’m by no means prudish, some of the scenes are difficult to watch. If the makers wanted to bring attention to the sexual exploitation of young women (11 yr girls really) or immigrants then they could have done that without panning the camera at their crotches.
