Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): On the night of September 26, 2020, there was weapon explosion killing a tuk-tuk driver in Sangkat 2, on Independence road in Sihanoukville.

Image
There was a case of a firearms shooting which caused the death of a passapp tuktuk driver when a group of suspects opened fire on the police, hitting the driver who was sitting on the pass app waiting for a customer.

According to sources from the scene, at 12:30 pm on the day of the incident, a white luxury car with license plate Phnom Penh 2BE-2376 was detained by the police to check the car because it is suspected that it was involved in something suspicious. But the owner of the car did not cooperate with the police, and he jumped into the car, grabbed his gun and started shooting, causing two police officers to be injured, and he continued to shoot, seriously injuring the passapp driver, who later died.

According to preliminary confirmation from the police, the police immediately arrested two suspects, but there was at least another armed man who escaped.
The body of the tuktuk driver was returned to the family and taken back to his hometown for funeral preparation. RIP.

Guns don’t kill people, weapon explosions do.

It started with crimes amongst themselves, now it looks like Khmers are being drawn in with the Chinese criminals, and now also victims of their crimes, RIP.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
