2 Russian Men and Ukrainian Woman Arrested for 20Kg Drug Traffic
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On September 25, 2020, at noon, the national security police sent two Russian men and a Ukrainian woman to the Phnom Penh court on the charge of attempting to smuggle about 20kg of drugs.
The suspects were identified as EVGENY KARAS, a Russian man, DMITRIY KARAS, a Russian man, and BONDARENKO KARAS, a Ukrainian woman. The police of national security made an investigation and arrested the suspects on September 21, 2020. The raid was led by Mr. Heng Peng, the persecutor of Phnom Penh court.
The suspects packed up the massive amount of drugs and attempted to send them as parcels from Cambodia to England and Greece. There was no more information about the three foreign suspects.
The prosecutor is investigating the suspects for the official charge.

2 Russians and a Ukrainian in court for trafficking of over 20kg of drugs
2 Russian men and a Ukrainian woman have been brought to trial over charges of the production, transportation and trafficking of more than 20 kg of drugs.
The Judge of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Mr. Seng Rithy, Chairman of the Council and Mr. Say Nora, Representative of the Prosecution, on March 22, 2022, decided to bring the accused to trial on the aforementioned charges
The accused are EVGENY KARAS, male, 32 years old, Russian, DMITRIY KARAS, male, 30 years old, Russian, and BONDARBNKO KARYNA, female, 21 years old, Ukrainian.
They are accused of illegally producing, transporting and trafficking drugs in Phnom Penh from 2017 to September 15, 2020 under Articles 42, 47 and 48 of the Law on Drug Control. .
After the end of the hearing on the accused, the judge decided to set April 19, 2022 at 2 pm to announce the verdict.
On September 21, 2020, the Internal Security Police Force of the Ministry of Interior cracked down on a large-scale case of illegal production, transportation and trafficking of drugs in Sangkat Choam Chao 2, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.
It is alleged that the accused were sending the drugs from Cambodia to England and Greece via DHL couriers.

A one day hearing for such a serious charge of trafficking over a 3 year period. Surely each and every act needed to be laid out and proved? In a single day?
