Cambodia News, Siem Reap: A sticky-handed woman who specializes in removing earrings from kids in Siem Reap province has been arrested by Prasat Bakong district police and sent to the provincial court for legal action. The incident took place at 12 noon on September 14, 2020 along National Road 6 in Bakong commune, Prasat Bakong district.

At 12 noon on September 14, 2020, police received reports from village residents that a woman riding a red Honda motorcycle at Popel village, Balong commune, Prasat Bakong district, had stolen some gold earrings from children in the village.

The Police Inspectorate of Prasat Bakong District got on the case immediately and chased and intercepted the suspect who was immediately arrested and sent to the district police inspector for questioning and then sent to court for further proceedings.
The suspect, named Phuong Socheat, alias Chambeung, female, 24 years old, admitted that she actually stole gold earrings from the ears of children and confessed that she has done this many times.
