British Expat, David SCOTT, Found Dead in Phnom Penh Room

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On September 13, 2020, at 6 am, a 79-year-old British man, DAVID SCOTT, was found dead in his room, at Ang Reach guesthouse on the street 154, Sangkat Psar Thmie 3, Khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh.

A witness named Van Vannara, the 44-year-old man guesthouse owner, said on September 13, 2020, at 6 am, he realized that the British man hadn't left his room for three days, so he went to check on him. He knocked on the door, but there was no reply, so he decided the unlock the door, and he found that the victim was dead on the bed. He reported to the police immediately.

The local authorities went to the scene and reported to the prosecutor, the criminal police of the immigration department, and the autopsist, Dr. Norng Sovannaroth. After he conducted the post mortem examination, he concluded that the victim died of a heart attack. The body was taken to keep at Teuk Thlar pagoda.
The deceased was living in Cambodia with a retirement visa.

Dave was a dear friend. He could tell great jokes and the Cambodian people loved him because of his generosity.
He will be sorely missed.
