What's the most minimal Linux desktop distro currently?
I just want a desktop, some Configuration/Preferences apps like Display, Network Config, Session Manager, Sound, Etc, and maybe an xterm. I don't want an office suite, DVD burner, music streamer, notepad, calculator, or any of the the other crap that usually gets installed, and that I never use. If I need an app, I can install it myself.

Interesting question that I couldn't answer because it's the opposite of what I do. Why not just pick a distro that looks interesting and just go in and delete programs/apps that you don't want? Should take only 20 minutes or so to delete that stuff.
