Yes, this is a fluff piece. It's also promoting a positive image of Khmer women on social media to encourage them to get fit, be strong, and take care of themselves.
There has been a lot of violence against women reported in Khmer news recently. Social media posts like this help to show women that they can be "feminine" but still "kick arse".

This is certainly better than some bloke killed or Khmer woman chopped up or beautiful lady who fell, jumped or tossed off a building.
I do not like her style of martial arts but she is a lovely lady.

I sometimes wonder if the perception of beauty in SEAsia is connected to availability. Sure there are plenty of nice looking girls around, but really beautiful? I am currently in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, and the bars and cafes are full of absolute stunners, jaw dropping natural beauties, but would they be the slightest bit interested in a balding, fat, aging Lothario like me? The f#ck they would. However back in PP I know I would be a hansum man and could pick up any reasonable looking girl without much effort, but on an objective level they would be no match for a real beauty. I guess it's what makes mugs like me keep coming back.

You mean pick up or hire? The vast majority of Cambodian women wouldn't be the slightest bit interested in a (presumably white)balding, fat, aging Lothario either.

It’s sometimes blurred between pick up and hire. There are many girls here who would happily move in with the aforesaid balding fat aging GENEROUS guy, in return for nice accommodation, all food and incidental expenses met, money for clothes, travel, socialising and regular gifts of jewelry and perfume.
Is this hiring? I don’t know. It’s what a ‘normal’ non-working female partner might expect in a relationship where the guy is the one earning a lot of money.

You are both correct in your own way, everyone is entitled an opinion, usually based on their personal experience. But whatever....I was musing on why girls who are no doubt lovely people but in most countries would be considered quite plain are often referred to here as beautiful. Frinstance the girl in question, without make-up doing her high kicks etc - aint no beauty. Slap on some make up and she looks ok, but ok is what she is. No offence, sister.
BTW I have a daughter who is a 'beauty therapist', does a lot of make up for weddings etc, so I know how easily plain Jane becomes Salma Hayek.....

Its also blurred between "It’s what a ‘normal’ non-working female partner might expect" but even so is she actually working, blurred may not be the right word to use, delusional may fit better.
