Monkeys on My Balcony

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Not a good thing. I would be sprinkling powdered chili daily for some time.

Man, having them on your balcony sucks. Basically means they can take over whenever they want.
They look so cute when you're inside, behind a glass wall...

Ok. I watched it and yes, pretty funny!

Also, the OP sounds Canadian.

You must live near me. They're a common feature around here, have been for some time. I often have them on my balcony too. They're harmless but I don't want them coming into my apartment so I have to close the doors when I hear them coming, which is annoying.

Apparently someone near here owns them and lets them out to just roam around then they go home on their own later in the day. You should also be careful if you keep things like wet clothes outside to dry. I've forgotten sometimes and came home to find half my clothes laying on the flat tin roof four floors below my balcony. They were kinda cute to begin with but just a pain the arse now.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.
