French Expat DAVID VALENTIE Passed Away in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On August 22, 2020, the police received the information that a French man, DAVID GERVAIS JEAN HENRI VALENTIE, 56 years old, passed away after he was taken from his home in Khan Chbar Ampov to Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh.

The victim's wife, Thong Sotheary, 28 years old, said she and her husband had been together since 2018. She said that her husband had a history of heart problems and had undergone a heart sugery in France. On 21 August, her husband felt unwell, and said he felt numb in his hands and legs. She drove him to Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh at 1:30am on 22 August, but the doctors said that he had already passed away by the time they arrived.

According to the examination by the specialist police, the victim died of heart disease, and the body was taken to keep at the Khmer Soviet hospital.
