Home Schooling, hiring a home teacher

Post by Lonestar »

Hello,

I am weighing my options for the upcoming school term for my 9 and 7 year old. One of the options I am considering is home schooling my children and maybe hiring a home teacher. Has anyone tried this? I have been working with my 9 year old for a couple of years on an online math program and have been amazed at the results. We can cover a year of math in around 6 weeks. I would appreciate any feedback.

Also, I think my 7 year old may be dyslexic. He is a bright kid who is having a hell of a time learning to read. Is there anyone here that has experience with this?

Thanks.
