Phnom Penhs (Phnom Penh): On August 12, at 1:30 pm, a drunk man used a gun to threaten a woman because she rejected his love at Vimean Prel restaurant on the street 163, Sangkat Toul Tumpong1, Khan Chamkarmorn, Phnom Penh.

Before the incident, Chen Samedi, 32 years old, a deputy director of department and a 1-star police officer, went drinking at Vimean Prel restaurant. After he was a little bit drunk, he told the woman owner of the restaurant that he loved her, but she rejected his love. The spurned lover became furious and attacked the woman before driving off in his car.

A while later, the drunk officer came back with a gun, which he pointed at the woman, threatening to shoot her. The victim called the police for help, but when they arrived, the suspect tried to escape in his car. The police followed the suspect and arrested him on national road 1 in Khan Chbar Ampov.



The suspect has been sent to Khan Chamkarmorn police station for questioning.

As kungfuhillbilly said on another thread, this kind of behavior doesn't shock me anymore, but it's clear that there's a whole lot of Cambodian men who have never grown up properly. They throw tantrums when they get no for an answer.
It's just a shame that so many of them are armed.

A woman could only resist a 1 star if there is a 2 star looking at the menu (sarcasm).
