48Yo Italian Drops Dead Unexpectedly on Street 172, Phnom Penh
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On July 30, at 9:30 pm, an unidentified Italian man, aged 48, passed away in the street, on street 172, Sangkat Chey Chumneas, Khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh.
A woman who was drinking with the victim said that before the incident, she and the man went to drink a beer at a bar near the scene. Then, the victim told her that he wanted to go outside. After that, she saw the victim collapse, so she went to check on him. The victim was choking and he died immediately.
After the incident, the police took the woman to the police station for questioning. After the examination, the police confirmed that the victim died of fainting. The body was taken to Teuk Thlar pagoda, waiting for the family or the embassy to prepare the funeral details.
EDIT: The deceased has now been identified as a 48-year-old Italian man, and the heading has corrected. More updates to follow.

30 years old? On 172? I’m no doctor but that’s definitely a heart attack.

If hes unidentified, how do they know hes german? Sounds like he may have got a hot dose of something???

I can only guess that 'fainting' is just a lazy translation of the genuine medical condition that caused his death.
Either that or the authorities don't properly investigate the deaths of foreigners, which, of course, is preposterous .
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

"Unidentified" in this case probably means that his identity has not been released because the family in Germany is still being notified.canucklhead wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 2:54 pm If hes unidentified, how do they know hes german? Sounds like he may have got a hot dose of something???
To posters here: when you are commenting, try to have some empathy for the family who might be reading your words. They may be waking up this morning in Germany to some very bad news.
There is a darknet section for CEO members who might want to speculate, raise embarrassing questions, or discuss side issues such as barang deaths in the KOW. Thanks.

CEOCambodiaNews do a good job,,,,, but in this case perhaps the news should have been put in the Darknet section first, then family members would not see any of those speculations or embarrassing questions.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Well, according to elsewhere on the web (can't say where), he wasn't German, and wasn't 30. So Germans can make up to kaffee und sauerkraut safely this morgan.
