So, some guys are still falling for this kind of "buy land and build house" thing? :chin:

I know not everybody gets burnt but seems like kind of a dodgy thing to get involved with.

Anybody know which side of the story is "true"?

Anyone ever got any successful relationship/land purchases, etc. that they'd like to share? or is order too boring? Or maybe having one's cover blown for "positivity" doesn't quite jive with the lay of the land. This is all rhetorical of course.

I've also been told to stay away from her by more than one person in Kampot. I contacted her once about some land I was selling and she wasn't exactly professional, so I backed off and took people's advice. Though to be fair, the guy her doesn't sound too level-headed either. No explanation, no details... How are we supposed to know what's going on? Her gibberish responses are barely comprehensible, but his accusations are equally confusing. Sounds like they were made for each other.

It's amazing to see someone speaking in heavily accented English to provincial sangkat police and expecting them to understand anything. Her screaming probably convinced them to leave more than anything.
