Massive Police Raid Detains 282 People at Gold Line Club
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On July 27, 2020, at 7:30 pm, the criminal police of Phnom Penh police station collaborated with Khan Sen Sok police force, in a raid where they shut down The Gold Line club and detained 282 people, on street 1986, Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmei, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.
After receiving complaints from local people, the Lieutenant Buth Sathya, director of the criminal department, led his forces and those of Khan Sen Sok police to raid the club and crack down on drugs and illegal behavior. Those arrested included managers, staff, and customers, many of them teenagers.
The police confirmed that the people at Gold Line were detained because they were suspected to be involved with using drugs ; the police took them away by bus and truck loads to be questioned and locked up, but they contacted the parents of the teenagers to come to bail them out.

Did they find drugs on the persons, or that of the premises, due to not showing any evidence.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Looks quite posh. What really happened there, did they forget their monthly payment? Or is that how the police renegotiates it?

I realized that years ago when I rode my used Honda Click to the ATM to take out 500 bucks and a 18-19 year old girl pulled up behind me in a brand new Porsche then spent 15 minutes jamming crisp 100 dollar bills into the cash deposit machine.
