In the north of Cambodia by scooter. :)
Re: In the north of Cambodia by scooter. :)
Huge effort, that's like an average of 380km per day!
did you stiffen the throttle so you could lock it on like cruse control? your forearms and wrists must have been killing you.

I did 10 days in the chin state in Burma and only covered 1,600 kms....in eight days I traveled 3,028 km along different roads of Cambodia,
378/day would kill me

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

thanks for taking care of my health! I have rich experience of motorcycle riding, including steel muscles and iron ass.

Some can has they say, and some cannot. I am one who can't do that type of mileage these days, not being of the iron ass group, and I recently found on the last two trips, it brings on a real pain in the ass mainly in the form of sciatica.SINUS wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 12:06 pmthanks for taking care of my health! So hats off to the ones of the iron ass group who continue to bring us exceedingly good road travel reports, and stories of their travels in the Kingdom and beyond.

Sinus there are some good trips there, nice venture and filming, enjoyable to watch from the armchair traveler, or hammock maybe today's choice.SINUS wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 12:06 pmthanks for taking care of my health! Sinus did you take the road 308 from Kampong Cham to this destination? Some nice photos there of the dolphins. I know of one member who will love those shots.

yes, I was driving on road 308. it's in bad shape, of course, but I love this road more than route 7.
Re: In the north of Cambodia by scooter. :)
Yes, the route was recommend to me to travel to Kratie not long ago, it is hopefully on my list. You would have past the Sunflower farm too your righthand side. I reacently travelled up the opposite bank on the PR222 the bridge was out there and you had to ride down the steep bank to a pontoon bridge then on up the steep bank on the other side. These are the things you never expect, and the bad roads that make riding in Cambodia a unique experience.

PR222 is a unique and interesting road, and few expats travel on it. it goes on the other side of the Mekong Rhea, where there are small mountains.AndyKK wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 8:09 pm
