What a shit day.

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

What a shit day.

Post by Samouth »

Today i was pulled over by the police and they pushed me to pay 10000 riel ($2.5) without receipt. They are so good in threatening people to pay more money. If i wasn't in hurry, i would love to stay there a bit more longer with them. #kingdom of wonder. #a country full of corrupted people, ignorant people, cunt, and money oriented people.

It's about time motorbikes had ''dashcam'' cameras . Would police still ask for money if you pointed out to them that everything including what they said, was being recorded.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

It becomes normal problem in Camb.. we have to smart to deal with it. When i talk to them as an educated person, they talk like uneducated police. If i'm wrong i'd like to pay, just need receipt , no need to bargain. But most time i was right and fined becausei don't like arguement and the way they talk seems silly. I never let even 100riel into their pockets. If i pay ,give me the reciept!

Wouldn't matter. Just like when the cops were showed video footage of them beating journalists and they "couldn't see" it.
