Quadcopter drones are microprocessor regulated flyers. They are designed to be very stable.
Gyrocopters are twin blades that a counter balanced against each other, again designed to be stable. If the motor fails, both sets of blades will slow at the same rate, allowing for a slowish descent.
Choppers are inherently designed to be very unstable. That allows them to dart in and out, swoop real low and get into tight spots.
But it takes intense concentration to not crash.
I’ve crashed many a helicopter. Fortunately, they were the small radio controlled kind and so the only thing damaged was my pride.
Again, a person with no experience flying a helicopter is recipe for disaster.
Will show up in a new article at some point.

As pictured this will not fly. There is no anti-torque rotor. Technically it's not even a helicopter. It's a prop for a photo shoot. Could be a gyrocopter (maybe) with the addition of a pusher propeller....
An old buddy of mine was a Blackhawk pilot and US Army flight school instructor (some combat maneuvers are named after him). I shared this post and we had a good laugh! Thanks for posting this. I'm still ROFL!

LOL:
i noticed that as well but didn't want to state the obvious,
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

What a lovely story.explorer wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 6:11 am A friend of a friend in Australia had a gyrocopter. He said it is completely safe, as if the motor fails, you can glide down. The next time I went to visit my friend, she told me he was dead. The motor had failed above trees. When the blades hit the trees, they stopped spinning, and he fell to his death.
Don’t listen to Chinese whispers.

I seem to remember the pilots during WW1 were called the 'Twenty Minuters' as dark humour to the life expectancy for debut pilots.

1- it's hot, so he covers his head ?
2- to hide the lobotomy scar ?
3- it's not a real helmet either.

Hey, I think it's great that he is wearing a helmet !
But where is the mask ?

This "helicopter" is a particularly sad example of underachieving. Or is this story meant as a joke?
