Next you''ll be saying there shouldn't be a golf course or horse racing. Originally the runway was supposed to be on the rocky bit in the north-west.crob wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 10:57 pmjaynewcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 10:19 pm Thanks for posting this horrible news

Go and tell that same to people of Santorini and many other small islands whose economy depends on their airport.crob wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 10:57 pmjaynewcastle wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 10:19 pm Thanks for posting this horrible news

This very same group had the race track, the golf course, the condos, the casinos and the airport all beautifully laid out in architect's ink.
I still clearly remember being totally flocked-up for a while - trying to get my head around a racecourse on this stunning, pristine island i was passing on the old ferry trip to and from Koh Kong back then.
I have seen similar detailed architectural drawings for Koh Tang.
I soon worked out what many other members here would know - that grand and detailed plans are a big part of the whole land scam here. And inked-in airports are often included.
I actualy think the long term big plans, including maybe a small tourist airport, were feasible for Koh Rong - and that the timing was about right.
It is a very capable company, and personally i have no doubts about the huge porential for billions of chibolese toyorists here.
But Cv19 has blown the clock back another few years i reckon.
Still can't get my head around the race track tho'.

The first time I went there way back in 2012. There's only one hostel, electricity cuts at 9pm, clean water is rare, only one-minute shower. But it was really heaven on earth. Now it's just Chinese and their selfie sticks
