Man Shoots Woman Dead at Gold KTV and Crashes Car

Cambodia News (Thbong Khmum): On July 9, 2020, at 8 pm, a 35-year-old man, Mol Tethoudom, shot a woman and killed her near the Gold KTV, in Pon Hneakreng district, Thbong Khmum. The victim was identified as Heng Sokhab, 20 years old.

Before the incident, the suspect, who is said to be a local police officer, took a gun from his car and shot the victim to death. The shooter then tried to run away, but he smashed his car into another vehicle in the getaway, causing him to get seriously injured, so he was sent to the hospital.

Police said that they don't yet know the motive for the killing. They have to question the shooter, but it is suspected that it was a lovers quarrel and the man was jealous.

More pointless murder and carnage. The ministries of the interior and defense need to put tighter curbs on their staff carrying outside of working hours. RIP Heng Sokhab, so young and never got a decent chance and is now laying frozen in a pagoda mortuary.

Officer kills ‘mistress’, crashes into truck

A Tbong Khmum Military Police officer shot and killed his mistress on July 9 in front of Go Club KTV in Ponhea Kraek district’s Kraek commune. He then crashed his car into a truck during his getaway.

The victim was identified as Heng Soheab, 20, and the police officer as Moul Tith Uddom, 31, the provincial criminal division chief.

Soheab was shot through the left side of her rib cage and pronounced dead at Kampong Cham Referral Hospital, said provincial police chief Pen Rath.

Rath said Tith Uddom is being treated in hospital. “The suspect is receiving intensive treatment at Calmette hospital. He is in very critical condition,” he said.

According to investigators, Tith Uddom’s family said Soheab was his mistress.
