Recently I turned over a stack of t-shirts - the situation that you have many, but only wear and wash the five on top. These gets worn, laundered then put back on top. At the bottom I found a few of bars and restaurants that no longer exist, most were given to me in the past. Below a few (wrinkled) examples, I challenge you to do the same and find some nice remnants of Cambodian bar history in your closet. Please no 'Angkor Beer' or 'Danger Mines!' shirts although some of the more 'exclusive' beer shirts one can only acquire at promotions or with a ring-pull. Kind of hoping to see a Martini's t-shirt here...

This one is from the Heart of Darkness which still exists. I bought it ages ago after seeing someone wear it in Bangkok. I liked the design and on my next trip to Phnom Penh visited the Heart only to buy the t-shirt. Which as I saw the next day, was also available for sale on the market - and at a much lower price.

I still have a Monkey Republic T-shirt from 2006. Pretty sure it doesn't fit me anymore.

Well soriya thats why you should never assume things...Whilst Hearts present manifestation may be popular with gay people it has a very rich history going back to 1993 when it was one of the only bars in town in the late 1990s/early 2000s and so was frequented by a lot of westerners of different backgrounds, before becoming more a haunt for rich thuggish khmers. it probably only really became a main gay venue in 2013/2014 after pontoon opened but still plenty of young khmers gay or straight go

All washed, ironed and lovingly folded - bought out for suitable big occasions.
Stained, moth holes and mostly in appalling styles and colours, but no way i bring myself to thrw them away.

Got rid of my old,some brand new t shirt's years ago,most were hot rod t shirt's given for free at shows. I like to wear button shirt's with a pocket now, must be getting old.

It's great to have collections of '' stuff '' ,, bits and pieces, junk, old shoes, old clothes, books, magazines, etc. As they say, your junk is another mans treasure, ,,,,, so give it away to him and free up you life by living more simply and not having to worry about it all going missing or stolen. Your going to move house one day, maybe you will become homeless and only then will you realise that it is '' junk '' that is bogging your life down.
