It's about time.... Schools To begin Re-Opening In Stages

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Only 15 students to a class. Is that going to be enough to be viable or will we expect school fees to double to compensate.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

It would be interesting to see if those schools with poor facilities come under pressure to improve*.
One in particular (and one other that I can't remember the name of) had class sizes of 20+ in what are best described as sweat boxes. Two of those for kindergarten level, with a plethora of fans to keep the air moving, and one small window.

All it would take is to have two classes of 15 or less, and only one teacher, and I can see a creative school admin putting both in the same room- it's been done before when teachers were thin on the ground.

*Hah!

I have told my girls if they don't study hard I will send them to this government free school just around the corner from where they live.
