(We) Request That the Relevant Authorities Inspect Merchandise Imported from Neighbouring Countries ( )
Prey Veng Province: The citizens in every village, sub-commune, and district in the territory of Prey Veng province are really worried about their health and daily standard of living because they notice that some of the merchandise that is imported from Vietnam, such as all types of vegetables and fruits, canned beverages, fish, poultry and pig meat that enters via the local (2 way) corridor and international ports of entry the customs officials at these points do not pay close attention to their work and fail to monitor closely, it could be said that they are easy-going.
Sources informed that some goods are brought in at night time; for example many types of mixed vegetables and fruit at 3 or 4 am and they are distributed to all the markets in Prey Veng province, the traders claim that it is Cambodian produce. The reason for this deception is that it is easy to trade quickly and it can be distributed to small markets. As for the chicken, duck and pig meat the traders come at midday - some have a license others don’t. It seems obvious that the factory farmed chicken is without a license as it is concealed in trailers that are transporting bananas so as to trick the government veterinarians (food and safety inspectors?) and make it easy to take to market.
People who have seen this happening wonder why and have interrogated the government veterinarians and asked, “Where this factory does farmed chicken come from?” And the government veterinarians answer: “We don’t know.” The citizens then criticize and say “if all of the relevant institutions don’t know the methods why and how it will have serious effects on the health of all of the population and no one will be accountable…we all work hard to plant rice and corn, and when we get the fruits of our labour we see a fall in price. (we) try hard to plant vegetables and raise chickens, ducks and pigs in order to improve our standard of living, to be better off. But if these imported goods are filling up the markets there will be no place for domestic products. If this system (continues) we will have no hope and the final only option will be to migrate and work in their country.”
With regard to the above problems the citizens of every village, sub-commune, and district in Prey Veng province beg the provincial governor to observe the civil servants below him and counsel those involved with this problem. (We) ask that civil servants in every department to control and verify all merchandise is correct and proper and has authorization for import. This united effort would reduce the poverty of the populace surely. It’s not right to stand and wait and take money to stuff into your pockets at all.

Re: Contraband Yuon Factory Chicken
A lot a truth in this. The inedible perishable products are brought over across the borders and within. This has been happening for years. It doesnt matter though, it was not like the KTV addict govt cares about the agriculture and the livelihood of farmers in this country.
EVERYONE BOW DOWN AND PAY EXTREME HOMAGE TO HIS MAJESTIES flying chicken©
