Take a quick look whether you know it

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Take a quick look whether you know it

Post by Samouth »

This is called Samrong. It is Cambodia unique wild fruit. It is really rare, you only can get it one within five years. Not to mention it is really hard to get as it is only available in the deep jungle. That's why it is really expensive. This kind of wild fruit has a lot of benefit for your health. It can cool down your body moreover it also can help clean your intestine and yes it is really yummy when you mix it with basil seeds (groub gee).

Dried one, before soaked.

If you want to try it, it is available at Oressey Market. Roughly $50 per 1kg.
