20Yo Indonesian Woman Passes Away in Sihanoukvillle Hospital

Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): On June 20, 2020, a 20-year-old woman, MELENIA LIE, an Indonesian national, passed away at the Chamkar Chek hospital in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville.

The specialist police concluded that the victim had a physical disease (heart disease and she had a goiter). The body was taken to keep at Stueng Meanchey pagoda. RIP and condolences.

Sad, Goiter. Rarely seen today as easily treated with iodine. Malnutrition coukd have caused the heart issues as well.

Goiter. Highly lethal if a thyroid storm occurs as a result. Add some kind of congenital heart disease. Or maybe a couple of episodes already that have already weakened the heart. And the stress of being trapped in a foreign country.

Wonder if they have “heart disease” cut into a rubber stamp? No autopsy = no valid determination of death. I’m sure there is an unwritten story there.
