Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On June 19, 2020, after a complaint filed by local people, a competent police force is investigating and taking action on the drunk driver of a TUNDRA license plate "2AZ-0054", who caused a disturbance and threatened to shoot people living in the borey "New World" in Khan Kambol, Phnom Penh.

Several families living in the "New World" district of Kambol reported to the press that the driver, likely to be a senior military officer, drove into the city with speed, apparently already drunk, and with no fear of traffic accidents, making local people very concerned for the safety of their children.

According to residents, the driver came to drink at 29th Street 17 in Borey on the night of June 12, 2020 at 21:40 pm and was driving drunk on the residential road while many little ones were running and playing on the sidewalk. Seeing the situation, some residents advised the man not to drive too quickly. He is reported to have taken out his pistol and fired a few random shots in the street. Local residents became very angry at the man's arrogance and many of them complained to the police.

The man's identity has not yet been released, but he is believed to be a military officer.
