British Woman RUBY WILKINS Arrested after Boyfriend Vandalizes Bridge in Kampot, Cambodia

Well anyway. I’ve seen a lot of tagging in Kampot and I doubt it’s locals.Soriya wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 8:37 pmAnd tagging itself emerged in late 60s new york gang turf.whatwat wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 8:06 pm Tagging isn’t art. Tagging is usually used to sign a piece of graffiti (or art if you like) not on its own. That just ignorant vandalism usually done by bored disassociated youths on tube trains in London, because it’s usually dark, no lighting and no one around so no chance of getting caught, like these two douche bags.
Stupid act.
Tagging in london emerged years later.
I’ve seen graffiti in Egypt. 2000 years old but the douchey didn’t tag it. Doh.
Don’t listen to Chinese whispers.

Graffiti attempts to be art or social commentary. Saw that segment about Egyptian graffiti. The pyramid builders were definitely making a statement about having a queen as their king, and the real power behind the throne.whatwat wrote:I’ve seen graffiti in Egypt. 2000 years old but the douchey didn’t tag it. Tagging is marking territory. Usually gangs come soon after, and then the drug dealing and violence. I hate seeing the Kingdom of Wonder turn into some western street ghetto. There is enough of those here in the west.

It 's so pathetic that all the outraged members on this thread, had nothing at all to say on a recent thread about a Cambodian grandfather aged 78 raping his 8 year old grand daughter
A bit of graffiti by a westerner however seems to a far more serious crime judging by many of the responses so far

Passport data page and all identifying personal information consigned to posterity. For all, potential employers included, to google-search, discover and deride. Shameless.

And a good job too. Her moment of simpleton stupidity will be with her forever. Perhaps now she might grasp the concept of accountability and responsibility. Idiot girl!!
As for Soren, hope the CEO community find him before the rozzers do. Give him a stern talking to and internet infamy.

I think it goes without saying that rape is worse than tagging. You came to that conclusion because more people decided to discuss tagging over a rape case? I see no logic in what you've just said at all.jaynewcastle wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 11:49 pm It 's so pathetic that all the outraged members on this thread, had nothing at all to say on a recent thread about a Cambodian grandfather aged 78 raping his 8 year old grand daughter

I see that you expressed zero outrage over the tagging AND the rape case. If someone were to use your weird logic, would they have to assume you condone both crimes?

The Khmer don’t really care about it. APLE doesn’t really care about the issue, either. As a foreigner and guest of their country, are we supposed to force them to care?
I thought the long string of protester movements was about how the evil westerners are forcing their ideas on the poor natives.
I personally think it’s wrong, but there is no point in forcing Khmer to do something they don’t want. They just hate us more in the end for doing it.
The tagging, leading to gangs, drug dealing, it’s not a native Khmer thing. Foreigners definitely should do everything to prevent it. Hence the long discussion.
At least that’s how I see things.

Tagging is not art. Tagging is vandalism, pure and simple.
If he wants to tag his own house and garden, then that's his business. If he tags other people's property, it is vandalism and he should be charged accordingly. It is not art.
