Trading the Stock Market From Cambodia

Post by MikeD »

A lot of you might already be doing this and doing well. It maybe a challenge in dealing with the time differences. Just a few words of caution, playing the the market is gambling. I dont recommend it to anyone who has little or no experience. For those who want to jump right into the trading discussion,
My most hated stocks are AMZN, CMG, TSLA. Not bad companies though. Short it if you think they will go lower in 3-6 months time. Long otherwise. I wanted to buy TSLA at $450 but my money was tied up on a property. Now its like $950, double your money.

Good one ! trading in Cambodia is the same as in your home country I feel, I don't know about you but I can place orders 24/7 unless you are an on floor trader what's does the time difference make really to us? You will get notified when the trade goes through or not. Good luck and if you have the $ to be buying shares of that $ value well done! I got a get one of those handles like in a country run by or hahaha wgaf walos diligaf figjam. I wonder if that's insulting to us as kmer people with a European style education and employment history? Mmmmm those people who hide behind petticoats ( online forums) are children or cowards YES I like that one I may keep it
My wife said to get one of those pills that'll give me a huge hard on for hours! I brought her back some diet pills, Now I am hiding out in Cambodia for a few years until she calms down!

It is ideal to be on line during the hours the market is trading. You can watch the prices, and make a decision based on the actual prices.

If you place an order before hand, you might not buy at the best price, or you may finish up not buying at all, because the price changes.

It would be nice if we can go back in time. We could all make a lot of money. But we can't.

If you are smart, you can try to figure out what companies will have prices increases. You may finish up with shares that make money, but nowhere near that much. On very rare occasions, you may get lucky, and buy shares that have a large price increase. Sometimes you may make a loss.

The US stock market is nothing like gambling. Gambling is making bets without information. Heck, trying to visibly count cards in blackjack at any casino and security will escort you out.

US listed companies are required to give lots of information to the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), that then becomes publicly available. Trump even wants to give 100 or so Chinese companies the boot because they aren’t giving up any info. Buying or selling stocks not based on publicly available information is illegal and called insider trading.

I would be afraid to invest in the Cambodian stock market for that reason. No publicly available information. They are not compelled to tell the truth.

Some members on CEO try to time the market. Buy on small changes on a particular stock during the day. All trades are generally delayed 30 minutes after the order, and info is delayed 30 minutes. In other words, the stock price seen isn’t the current price, and the stock won’t be bought at the price seen. Unless you are a big time trader or investor
or use buy and sell orders, shorts, or other kinds of options, it’s a losing strategy (in my opinion).

Instead, stocks should be bought and held for at least 3 months (or years) based on the research and long term prospects. Or just buy mutual funds, where others do the research, or index funds, that track the major trading indexes.

US Stock markets on average, increase by 8-10% and double every 8 years or so. Long term, they produce one of the best returns.

Right now is a great time to buy and hold for the long term. Most stocks are all beaten up by the virus. There may or may not be a further beating in the future. But that’s where research, aka doing your homework, comes in.

Sorry for the long post.

Are you seriously buying stocks now to keep them for months or years?

With economies shrinking at 4-5% a month and major indexes close to all time highs?

Newkidontheblock. I liked your post ? Warren buffet buys stocks for the income they generate (dividends) so he says! He sold and lost billions on the airline industry just recently so I heard on the news and his shareholders presentation. Just before the pandemic he said he or Berkshire Hathaway had a large pile of cash to spend and hadn't found anything worth while ! he sort of knows what he's talking about I guess! Hahaha I don't know about what happens in the states but in my country the longer you hold a stock before you sell it the more tax advantages you get "to a point" If you buy and sell straight away they smash you top dollar! Hope you gentlemen enjoy the hours spent doing research it can become a bit tedious Austman
