Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the morning of March 29, 2021, the administrative director of Calmette Hospital told the media by telephone about a fake voice message that broadcast that the hospital is exploding with Covid-19 cases, which led to the closure of the hospital. However, this is not true, and the hospital is operating as usual.
Dr. Mao Rasy, Administrative Director of Calmette Hospital, stated that the voicemail was confusing the population, and now the hospital is complaining to the professional officer to find the owner of the voicemail to be punished.
In this case, the government is right to stamp out rumors.
Nothing confusing about that.
Re: Police Urged to Monitor Social Media "Fake News"
There's a comma in there that shouldn't be there which makes the sentence mean " fake voice massage that led to the hospital being closed". Pretty obvious to most english readers that it was written in a confusing way that could be read in two ways.

The latest fake news circulating on Cambodian social media is the alleged death of the National Police Chief. He is, however, fit and well, according to official sources.
The authorities are determined to stamp out such social media rumors, which may alarm the population.
